Don't be sorry. :) Its nice to have different opinions. :P

I realize what you are saying, but that's why I was saying they could change things around to make it into an acoustic song. I think any song can be done acoustically. :geek: It just takes a little bit of creativity. :D It would be like covering their own song in a way. You just have to do it a bit differently on the acoustic version as you would need serious changes in order to play a bunch of the songs. :)

I guess I have kind of come to disagree with people on this issue. :) What's the point of an acoustic performance if you are only going to pick the songs that already sound like they could be acoustic performances or that are the closest to it? That takes some of the fun out of it I think. Why not through in some unexpected songs and see how they sound? :)

Jenna was saying that any Alice In Chains song could be played acoustically. I had thought of how "Them Bones" would sound especially with the yelling part, lolly. At first it seemed silly, but then I thought it could actually be interesting. :)

If Alice In Chains could have done "Them Bones" why couldn't Soundgarden do any of their songs? I realize an unplugged version of "Ty Cobb" or something sounds kind of ridiculous, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. lolly

I realize that Alice In Chains picked the songs that made the most sense and that's why there aren't songs like "Them Bones" on there, but really now that I think of it the "Unplugged" performances, not just Alice In Chains, but Nirvana and Pearl Jam and whoever else mostly are kind of lacking in a way, because they picked the songs that are most predictable and you don't really add anything unique to the version by going for those.

Granted it would be great to hear some of those predictable songs in an "Unplugged" performance but why not experiment with something unexpected? I think it would be interesting to hear some of those songs with speed and volume toned down for an "Unplugged" performance. :P

To me its like the "Unplugged" concept of MTV seems a little pointless now in a way. It seems like it would be more special if they picked some of their more known songs and figured out a way to play them acoustically. Kind of like a cover where you do a song in a completely different style.

Of course they would have to change the entire style of the song, but that could be fun. :) That's what I think personally. :D

yes, but then the Unplugged series wouldn't sell much. and for MTV money is what matters, isn't it?

Yeah, it would be very cool. btw, check out this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpiYfAiJVOY. It's an acoustic version of Like a Stone (audioslave) by Chris cornell. It's really different from the original, but I liked it. So, I guess it's possible to make acoustic versions of "not made to be played acoustically" songs :)
