I dont know which song is the heaviest Grunge song but if a thing like that exists its been done by the Melvins. I'd say Glue Porch Treatments is the heaviest shit I ever heard. Earth also seem pretty heavy to me.

Believe me, this is the heaviest shit they ever put out. It's all good amd heavy things about this band put into one song.

Totally. I always liked the Brian May version better although apart from that one solo he doesn't really add much to it XD It's freaking brilliant though!

I remember seeing a ‘music snob’ on YouTube saying that SLTS was ‘the most metal song’ that Nirvana ever did. :x I literally exclaimed ‘Have you ever heard Bleach?!’. Complete idiot.

The line between Grunge and Alternative/Heavy Metal is pretty poorly defined. But for the more mainstream Grunge artists, ‘Paper Cuts’ by Nirvana is a good candidate. Barring ‘About A Girl’ most of Bleach is pretty heavy.

Soundgarden’s ‘Jesus Christ Pose’ and ‘Outshined’ are both very heavy in parts.

For the main five bands:

Alice In Chains - probably Sludge Factory

Nirvana - Negative Creep or Paper Cuts

Soundgarden - Kristi, JCP, Outshined

Pearl Jam - probably Blood

Stone Temple Pilots - Down

But... it's kind of a heavy song no?

I like "No. 4" really a lot, very diverse and many great songs. "Pruno" is an all time fave.

The only other contenders by STP are Naked Sunday, Sex Type Thing and Piece of Pie. IMHO, Down is heavier than those.

He could! At least in 2014. He was amazing, the song was amazing! They all were. Anyone who says he couldn't do it anymore is lying.
