I got into the whole mid to late seventies punk/post-punk thing fairly recently (both UK/USA and Germany), so even though I knew many of the bands and artists by name before, now I actually know what they sound like ;)

Also, Kadavar and many other retro metal bands like The Oath and whatnot.

There's more, but here's a few for now:

Monochrome Set
Звуки Му (Zvuki Mu)
Wire
The Fall
Gang of Four
Mars
Felfharben
Scars
Television

You might know some of these already, but I don't know what you know!

The Julie Ruin, Kathleen Hanna's super new band:

Katastrophy Wife, Kat Bjelland's band since 1998 (how could I have missed this?):

I honestly think that by now, I know enough music to last me a decent while...
On the other hand, the Breeders have made a big connection with me lately...
