so you speak english aswell.... i wish britain could speak more languages, most other places in the world are blingual

hey its not just some reason ok.... english is 'the best language of them all... French people get so jealous that ours is the international language, they wish theirs was...... ill tell you why ours is the best
1.The england is the base of the english language... and lets face it england is an amazing country, we used to own half the world..we started america for gods sake and we invented alot of uselfull things and scientific theories!!
2. Our language was spread and strengthed by the americans and because they are so rich alot of other countries had to learn the language to do business.
3. Our language rocks because its one of the only languages that is made of a mix of other languages, if we werent invaded by the vikings, normans, saxons, romans we wouldnt have such a mixed language.... infact wed probably speak a language similar to welsh (wot a shitty language). Our language takes the best bit of other languages to form the best internatioanly understood language.

nah, people in small countries learn some english because we have to and are exposed to it in the movies and music, etc. Most people in big countries like spain and france learn very little english because they've got a big music industry and dub the movies.
I once went to Ceuta, which is a spanish enclave in North Africa, and they only had spanish and moroccan tv there. It was the birthday of the moroccan king, so moroccan tv was sending footage of him and interviews of his subjects nearly 24/7, only interrupted by the occasional arab soap opera. Having nothing to do I ended up watching Eddie Murphy movies dubbed in spanish. Which is like the dumbest lamest thing ever.

The reason french isn't the main language is cos its too hard to spell ...lol...

im seriously going to go live with my friend in London, just so I can go to better shows. foreign exchange programs are fun!!!!!

London has some great shows, but a lot more bands go to america. Like pearl jam havnt been to england in years! Yet they love australia and america...

yeah i suppose, but indie has changed drasticly since the old school, underground punk indie. Now theres bands like the killers and hard-fi who call themselves indie but are more pop-die....but yeah. Pavement are quality....
