My favorite is definitely Trompe Le Monde. It has the best sound of all the albums, and all the songs fit perfectly together. Every time I hear something from that album, I have to listen to the rest. These songs always need to be together.

Second pick, and not far behind is Surfer Rosa. Wonderful raw sound and some fucked up lyrics. When Kim sings along with Charles on that album is when I love Pixies the most!
I can't understand the hype around Doolittle though. There are some good songs, but they can't compare to the ones at Surfer Rosa and Trompe le Monde. I don't like the mix on that album either.

Doolittle! It is my third favorite-ist album of all time! 8)
I think it has the most diverse mix of song types, even having on two Country-ish songs ('here comes your man' and 'silver).
Also there are some good rockers on this one with 'debaser' and 'gouge away'
But the creme de le creme is that it has 'Wave of Mutiliation' on it and that is my favorite Pixies song.

The main one I checked out was Surfer Rosa, because I heard about them from Kurt Cobain and he said he liked that album, so I know more songs form there than any other album.

I love the way Surfer Rosa is laid out. Starting the album with Bone Machine was genius

I dig Bossanova, but it takes a while to get into it and most people don't want to give it a chance. At least I think that's how it is. You listen to the album a few times, there's nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't pull you in. I don't know what it is, it's as good as any other album they've released. Eventually it grows on you.

Bossanova is awful. I've never met anyone that liked it. The production sucks the life out of everything on it.

It's not that bad. It's definitely not the best. The album doesn't have the same charm that some of the others has, but it's not awful. You get to see the good in it after a while, but you kind of have to force yourself to give it the attention it requires to get past all the negatives.

It was close between Surfer Rosa and Doolittle. I went for the former.

Wow..whats with all the negativity about Bossanova? Im giving Boss a spin right now, and I think its my favourite Pixies album -- plus each time I do, I love it more! Dig for Fire is probably my favourite track of theirs after Cactus and Where is my Mind...
I miss the comfort in being sad. Drive away and its the same, everywhere death row everyone’s a victim.
