EDDIE VEDDER FANS CROWD THE LOUNGE FOR NEW ALBUM:

Last night Eddie Vedder fans packed the Feedback Lounge in Morgan Junction for a release party of Pearl Jam's latest album, Live On Ten Legs, or LOTL, released 20 years after the grunge band's wildly successful debut studio album, Ten, and 12 years after its Live On Two Legs album. The release party was a joint effort between Feedback, Easy Street Records, and the Pearl Jam Fan Club, also called Ten Club, or 10C.

Rumors of an appearance by Vedder, who lives just a couple miles from Morgan Junction, were just that. He may be in Hawaii, some fans speculated. Many insiders at the event said they were bracing themselves for an upcoming surprise Pearl Jam concert at a venue in Midwest America. They said promoters are keeping it hush hush for now.

Some fans attending live within a block of the Feedback Lounge, while others came in from out of town, including Aaron and Shannon Acton, from Orange County, CA.

"We're visiting family and came up for this, too," said Aaron, a high school physical education teacher and football coach.

He added, "We thought it would be a good idea to get the vinyl album. We have a wall in our garage we turned into a Pearl Jam sanctuary with their other albums. Our kids go out there and play their Wii. We have a signed picture with Eddie. We've watched them in Europe, including Ireland.

"He was very introverted on stage in 1991, just held his arms and looked at the floor and didn't move," said Aaron. "In 1992 he started hanging from the scaffolding and jumping."

"My 16 year-old daughter is interested in Pearl Jam, and my 6 year-old son can't wait to go to his first show," said Shannon. "We like a lot of bands, but our favorite by far is Pearl Jam."

Alki residents Tiffany Babcock and Lyle Christman, who live on Alki, said they are relatively new fans.

"We purchased two records and a CD tonight, she said. We're going to keep one album sealed."

Lyle, "I grew up with vinyl. It's fantastic."

Kelly Reed, an East Side singer, performer, was hanging out with friends including Westwood Village's Bill Reid of John L. Scott Realty.

"Eddie is such an unbelievable inspiration, she said. "He wrote this beautiful music for a movie called Into the Wild including a song called Hard Sun. I showed my 20 year-old son and his friends the movie. Two of his friends have since gone to Alaska and changed their lives based on the song."

"When I was in 6th grade my AOL log in screen name was 'Mrs. Vedder 22'," said Jana Seesdedt of Delridge. "Santa just bought me a new record player with a turntable. The music is more raw sounding, not as manufactured. Plus you feel like you're dating back to the '60's, sitting on your floor looking through your records."

"When I was presented with the pssibility of moving to Seattle and made my pro and con list, the number one on my pro list was Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam are part of Seattle," said Seesdedt's friend, Karen Callanan.

"I bought the vinyl album because it feels more real, more tangible," said Libby i Tomicki. "I am youngest of five. I grew up with all of my brothers' stacks of 45's. That's how I started listening to records. I think every Pearl Jam's album is a big deal. I operate Golden Fish Bodyworks on Capital Hill as a massage and healing therapist.

"I have two treatments named after two Pearl Jam songs," she said. "One is 'Amongst the Waves', a multi-layered body work treatment. And 'The Fixer' which helps us bring healing outcomes for everybody. When I painted my place I listened to absolutely every Pearl Jam song. I wanted all their vibes in my space. I'm like,'Guys, I need your help. Here we go.'"

PEARL JAM BEGIN 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH NEW LIVE ALBUM AND NEW INFO:

PEARL JAM, the acclaimed American rock band from Seattle, are celebrating their 20-year-history throughout 2011 with a number of exclusive releases and live shows. The anniversary gets underway today (18th January 2011) as 'Live on Ten Legs', a live album recorded on tour between 2003 and 2010, hits shelves.

The band recently released further details of what fans can look forward to in 2011. Speaking on their website, the group confirmed that their classic 1993 and 1994 albums 'Vs' and 'Vitalogy' will be reissued in new deluxe formats in the spring, and also that CAMERON CROWE's documentary film 'Pearl Jam Twenty' will be released with an accompanying book and soundtrack album. The band also hinted at a number of "unexpected releases" and "special events" including a 20th anniversary weekend bash sometime in the summer. The mini-festival will be curated, hosted, and headlined by PEARL JAM, however, a venue is still yet to be confirmed.

It has also been reported that the band's frontman EDDIE VEDDER will contribute music to the soundtrack of Crowe's much anticipated new movie 'We Bought A Zoo', starring MATT DAMON. Vedder released his first solo album in 2007 as the soundtrack to the movie 'Into The Wild'.
