Does anyone else like Dream Pop or Shoegazing?

Post by AliceInChainSamantha » Fri Aug 08, 2014 2:51 pm

This is another type of music that I've come to listen to through out the years and it's been growing on me. Does anyone else listen to this type of genre on this forum? If so: what artists do you enjoy? :D

Shoegazing has its own thread in here somewhere. It's well received here.

I like to think that our band Milk Duct Tape rides the rails of Shoegaze. I mean, between the bass player Matt and I we have probably over 100 pedals between the 2 of us, that's a lot of looking down at your shoes... which we all know is how the genre was named. :)

It's such a shame little David has gone. He would be all over this thread. I miss him :(

Well someone would probably name a definitively shoegaze band and he would argue they weren't and then try to bring a band that wasn't shoegaze and say they were.

Studies have shown ambient music produces creative thinking. How many threads just like this are there? Lol

I really do like Shoegaze. Dream pop is OK, but usually it gets too glossy and boring for my tastes.

Hey OP, do you like Cat Power?
