that pretty sums up my opinion to!! I think its way more douchy to walk around in a shirt that says....."This is a tshirt made by levis or some other manufactured shit"....if i had 3 tshirts infront of me, of three different bands...like...2 band shirts of friends of mine and one Tripod...i would totally wear the friends shirt...the only time i really feel uncomfy with wearing tripod shirts is when im playing gigs with tripod...that just doesnt seem right...i like to wear bands of friends of mine when i play gigs...to show some support you know, and i think its...kinda a scene thing..support your local scene!

Exactly the same here! I think we are from the same page out of the book of how to rock band.

If I had a band and we had band shirts I would wear the fuck out of my own shirts.

I grew up wearing other band's shirts. It's just so awesome to know that now I have my own.

It's an accomplishment.

It's like getting mad at someone for displaying their trophies or awards.

usually I'd make some smart ass remark in response but I'm trying to use my humour...not for good really but less jerkishly these days. I attempted to change it but I'm not sure how to edit thread titles.

Daffy wrote:almost all bands i know wear their own merchandise...its not like most bands are rich you know...we wear them cause its...well its among the only clothes we got!! merch cost a shitload!!

This was pretty much what I was thinking, I guess it's different when you are the one paying for the shirts  I still don't really use our t-shirts, mostly because my friend's bands have provided me t-shirts for at least the last 5 years or so, so It's not like I'm gonna run out of clean shirts. Bands should really start merching boxers, I'm almost all out..

Then again, they're just clothes, and I don't consider it as such a big thing. Just ask Dan how horrible my Eurotrancedancejacket was
I'd rather be in Cardiff. Or pretty much anywhere else.
