Artists you recently discovered

Post by PJAICfan »

I really like this idea, although it's probably been done before, if so just merge it. So post an artist you recently discovered or just got into, I love discovering new music so why not share. Basically just post a bit of info, he band name/genre, and a video/link. Ill start

Artist name:Tesseract
Genre:Metal
Info: this band is kind of a mix of djent metal(meshuggah style, chuggy percussion like guitars) and prog metal. They use like 9 stringed guitars and shit. Cool instrumentals, pretty good vocalist.
Video/link:

A coworker showed me this Algerian songwriter recently. Female singers don't normally do anything for me but I think her voice and her music are great. Take a peep.

Sybille Baier. Not my usual thing. She recorded an album in the early 70s, but it wasn't released until 2006.

But Andrew WK is in that horrible live action Cartoon Network show.

I've only heard "Party Hard", it sounded alright.

:shocking: I thought it was entertaining for a kids show. I personally like the majority of his music and he seems like a cool guy.

There are a lot of shows kids would find entertaining that I just see as not very good. Rarely is there a show intended for kids that I see as interesting and somewhat intelligent.

And he seems like a nice guy, though.

Right? Ugh, I love it so much, have prolly listened to it 100+ times now. It's just perfect. Also, this guy plays on a two-string bass. Two d strings, tuned in some wonky way.
