Jimi Hendrix

Post by Grunge Junkie »

He was legendary at the time of his success, and still remains one of the most influential guitarists of all time( number one in my opinion).
But even though his status is know all over the world to this day, it makes me wonder that if he was still alive what new impact would he have.

Just a few more years, and he would have been untouchable. Just a few more years

He did a lot between 1967-70. Very impressive how famous he was and how important he became.
Eddie Vedder: Matt Cameron writes songs and we run to find step stools in order to reach his level. Did we mention he's the greatest drummer on the planet?

kurt cobain did a lot between 91 - 94, same amount of years. but he wasn't half the guitarist jimi was. both died at 27. and they're big legends.

Amazing guitarist, but he's pretty overrated. Eddie Hazel is much better at guitar than him IMO though.

Well, if you're talking about technicality of Hendrix playing, then yes, there are a lot better guitarists at this aspect, but Hendrix is considered best not for the technicality (although he was damn good at that time.) but for his creativity, originality, energy and damn, he invented new style of playing at that time!
