My mixtape... for those long cold, lonely nights, where you feel a guy like Tom Waits is your only mate in this world....

1: Tom Waits, “I don’t wanna Grow up”
2: REM, “Time after Time”
3: Flop, “Parts I and II”
4: Concrete Blonde, “Scene of a perfect Crime”
5:Led Zeppelin, “Going to California”
6: Judas Priest, “Turn on Your Light”
7: Bush, “Straigt no Chaser”
8: Neil Young, “Harvest”
9: Steve Earle, “My old friend the Blues”
10: Squeeze, “Black Coffee in Bed”
11: Bjork, “Come to Me”
12: Thin Lizzy, “Dear Heart”
13: The Proclaimers, “What do you Do”
14: Fairport-Convention, “Who knows where the Time Goes?”

I selected such songs because of the way they really make me feel. Some have a melancholy to them which resonates with me, some remind me I’m not a lone wolf in the way I feel, some tell me that things arent so bad, while others tell me that it will get better.

That's a really cool comp man. I have trouble making mood-related mixes because I feel the need to make it both diverse in style and age as well as well-seguing (if that's a word).

This was the first mix-CD that I ever made, dating to perhaps summer 2010. It is mostly 70s rock, and metal. I gave it to a friend when I was 12, because I wanted to form a band with them, and thus needed to demonstrate my influences (irrespective, by biggest influence back then was being a poor player :D ). Copious years later, Ive received it back, and have been quite enjoying it:
--
1:Aerosmith, "Rats in the Cellar"
2: Thin Lizzy, "Killing of a Buffalo"
3:Ac-Dc, "There is gonna Be some Rockin"
4:Deep Purple, "Into the Fire"
5:Skid Row, "Sweet little Sister"
6:Def Leppard, "Wasted"
7:an embarrassment, "Sweet Sally"
8:Metallica, "Battery"
9:Judas Priest, "Head out to the Highway"
10:Sex Pistols, "No Feelings"
11:Kiss, "Let me Go, Rock and Roll"
