The Syd Barrett thread got me into him. To be honest I've never felt such a connection to music like this, all of his music and lyrics and everything just makes sense to me, even if it's nonsense. Did you make that thread?

Jesse, if you don't like John Lennon, who would you say was the best Beatle?

Um.

I said John was the best.

And made the band what it was.

Cause he pretty much made most of their artistic choices.

Lennon is the best songwriter of all time.

I'm dead serious.

Fuck this American bullshit, I'm from Yorkshire, and it's Yorkshire day. Let's go eat some tatties and Yorkshire pudding.

Liam NOW'S not the time!

I like John Lennon, but I've always enjoyed Paul McCartney but that's mostly because I grew up with his solo stuff. It's a shame that John Lennon's stuff isn't as shown as McCartney's when it comes to solo material. I think that I may enjoy John's songs in the Beatles more, not sure I would have to backtrack and look up to be sure.

in terms of music alone it's John > Paul anyday.

John seemed more rock while Paul is more Pop I feel. Yet I think my favorite Beatles song is While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
