Re: Faith No More
Yeah there was a really good comedy "scene" in the UK in the late 90's/early 00's. Pegg is in Black Books and Partridge (as are Chris Morris and Julia Davis), Mark Heap is in Spaced (as well as Eldon, Gattis, Shearsmith, Gervais, Frost, Serafinowicz...) and I just found out that David Mitchell was actually a contributor to series two of Big Train so shit loads of talent involved in that show.
As happy as I am for Simon Pegg that he's got a reasonably good Hollywood career going, I do wish he would do more comedy acting like this because he is a fantastic comedy actor I think. Every character he portrays in Big Train is just brilliant. I love him in this one...

Pete Serafinowicz was in Black Books and Alan Partridge too. That's how I found out he was a scouser. His Liverpool accent as "Tex" seemed too good for someone from London to be imitating, therefore he must have been from Liverpool so I looked it up and there it was. It shocked me.
But because of who he was "hanging out with" professionally, I just sort of assumed he was from London.

Re: Faith No More
There's just been an announcement about Black Sabbath and Soundgarden playing the British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park on 4th July, but the most interesting part is that Faith No more are down as third on the bill! I thought they had called it quits. Patton has been very quiet over the last year so if they drop a surprise album this year I will go insane.
Re: Faith No More
I saw this too and I'm getting over the initial excitement about the distant possibility of seeing three of my ultimate favourite bands at once and trying to accept the depressing reality that I will not be there or anywhere cool ever and just slowly wither away in this shitty country, trying to imagine all the fun others are having somewhere in a far-away magical paradise where everything is possible and awesome.

NO! 'Cause then I had a smoke and realized that I need to go there. I have to try at least, otherwise I can only blame myself. First, I need a job. Fast! I sent seven job applications today. That's more than the combined amount of applications I'd sent the whole year so far. What that means is that I must be serious about this. I DON'T WANT TO MISS THAT SHOW!

Of all the bands that have reunited to make a new album, these guys are the ones I would back to make something that matches the quality of their previous work. Live they are still by a country mile the best I've seen. Rejoice!

Another great new song from the greatest band of all time...
Re: Faith No More
They're coming to Finland this summer. I might be going, it's a festival gig but still. I wonder if Santeri knows.

New album out! It's amazing, obviously!

I went to see them in New York the week before last, and it was incredible!

I'm seeing them again twice when they play the Roundhouse in June.
