I bought this album when it first came out because the guy at the music store told me one of the members was in "Bad Radio" with Eddie Vedder. I don't know if it's true and never looked it up. Just thought it was interesting you heard the RATM thing.

Greta are from the bright lights and boogie nights of Los Angeles. And Adam they have two records out, as far as I can tell; "No Biting" and "This Is Greta"

I have "No Biting" and it's alright, nothing really grounfbreaking or something to go out of your way for. Think early Alice in Chains meets [enter a lesser known, but decent Seattle metal band here] and you have Greta.

I love Greta. I recently bought No Biting. It is interesting to find out the drummer from Rage Against the Machine was in this band. One thing, I keep hearing that the band didn't so much like their earlier sound, so they changed to more of a pop rock sound, and liked it so much they named it "This is Greta" so fans thought it would be even more cool since the band liked it better, but then everyone got disappointed and say it sucks on like youtube and stuff. I LOVE how they go back and forth between really heavy music and soft music in the same songs, like Love is Dead sounds at first like a tropical floaty song, then changes to an extreme metal song, then back and forth and the end is like the beginning but more of an upbeat tempo. Like they would be a great reference for the loud quiet loud thing. They were also on Beavis and Butthead for 3 videos. My favorites are Fathom, Get Off The Slug, Is it What You Wanted, and Love is Dead. Oh and School on Fire sounds like it totally should be an end of school anthem like School's out For Summer. Here are a few videos.

The singer Paul Plagens just died. I urge you all to check out their music. I think you'd like it.

an article about Paul, with a video showing his geniality as a composer

"i'll make a wonderful dead guy
for only death has a way of forgiving
the souls of the damned"

sad laughs
