I had a major Blind Melon flash yesterday after not having listened to them in months, maybe even years. Then I realized again what a special album their debut is to me. Magic.

I love this band. Missed them tha last time they came to the UK, but was lucky enough to see them in 1993. They were something special.

Yeah, we'll good music is like good wine, gets better with age  I say this about a lot of bands, aic, mother love bone, mad season, etc. but I honestly think that if Shannon hadn't passed then blind melon would've went on to become huge. I really would love to hear what direction their sound would've went in

I didn't notice there was a thread for Blind Melon until now.

well let me be clear about this:
I LUV
BLAIND
MELUN

I could listen to them all day. There are many of their songs that I don't know what their name is or what the lyrics are, but only hearing a few seconds of them are enough to get me dancing and singing. The feeling expressed by Shannon's vocals touches me, even though I have no idea what he's saying most of the time. And the basslines are so kickass. And OH MY GAWD da uigtar solos! They can make me trip balls. Amazing band all the way through, there's absolutely nothing from them that I dislike.-

Whenever I get enough money, I'll tattoo that cool logo with the sun in my right shoulder. And if I'm ever able to afford it, I'll go to Shannon's resting place and pay him some respect.

It was awesome. A real 'moment'. It was with Guns N Roses, who really blew. I went for Blind Melon and The Cult, both of whom were amazing.
I know! 20 years. God it makes me feel old.

Blind Melon

I actually discovered them years before I wore flannel in fealty to grunge.
Aged 11, I was persuaded into buying the self titled album of theirs after hearing that it “sounded like Zeppelin”, but its outstanding in its own right.
I miss the comfort in being sad. Drive away and its the same, everywhere death row everyone’s a victim.
