From the ashes of Nirvana arose the Foo Fighters. Talk about Dave Grohl's phenomenally successful band as well as his other god-like genius projects here.

Everytime I listen to "Nevermind", or more importantly, "In Utero", I'm always left thinking how much better it would sound if Chad or Dale was hitting those drums and cymbals. Listening to the likes of "Scoff" and "Sifting" on "Bleach" make me truely appreciate Nirvana for what they were, it's all in sync and tight, and the drums are just amazing. Then turning on "Nevermind" and listening to "Stay Away" and "Drain You" (especially during the bridge) and thinking, "Oh God, how much better this could of been", and it makes me appreciate them a little less, despite the fact they were such a fucking amazing band. To me, Dave Grohl cannot play drums, cannot sing and is an average guitar player. In Nirvana, he's got nothing that makes me feel the "kick" (is that considered a pun? ) that Chad or Dale do. I don't know, perhaps I'm just bias. :/

thats not fair i could say the same thing about courtney love :?
Haha, go ahead.

I'm not a big fan of Courtney today, she's too far out for my liking. She was an amazingly-talented, beautiful and inspirational person at one stage, but she went downhill from 1999 onwards, and now is a talentless, attention-seeking, superficial idiot, who left her values behind her, and is now out for an extra buck and a few tabloid shots every few weeks. Courtney Love from 1985-1998 was such a brilliant person, now she's nothing but what I said before. She's got a few new decent songs, that's all I like of her these days.

I find myself getting a bit off-topic now...

I just like the fact that Dave Grohl seems to just be having fun when making music, and he seems really humble when he's playing with his heroes like Paul mccartney.

He isn't the best drummer but at least he's original and he does write good songs, although they may be a bit catchy or pop-ish for some people's liking.

Well even my favorite album is Bleach. They never played such music after it. But as far as Nevermind is concerned I dont think chad could do like the way dave did. Like SLTS, do you think chad's drumming would feet as much as dave's? I dont think so. Because The way chad plays is way different than dave. And Nevermind is completely different than Bleach. Nevermind has no any songs that needed chads heavy drum kit. lol

Heart shaped box, RFUS would sound much better if chad was hitting those drums.

i think what made the band what they were, were the members and had there been different members it would of thrown everything off course
