No.

Foo Fighters I would classify as Alternative Rock and Power Pop ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_pop )

I think that they are alternative and Post-grunge in thier eilier stuff. They were never a "Grunge" band.
How can i be lost?

They started as a Post-Grunge band and now they are closer to Arena/Hard Rock.

Not really grunge, but that doesn't mean that they're not awesome.

I think they're a bit mellow to be considered hard rock, and I'd only agree on the arena rock category because they sell out arenas, not because they sound like "Arena Rock". I'd probably categorize them modern alternative or post grunge, still an awesome band nevertheless

I think their first album was grunge, but that's it. I always call them the perfect mainstream standard hard rock band.

I actually don't think they are a standard band. I think they are unique in their own way and I really respect how they can produce such vast music. They can be classified as a variety of types of rock and I don't think really hit any one certain type.
