Best Soundgarden Riff and Guitar Solo

Post by alice-pearl-sound » Thu Dec 10, 2009 10:29 pm

Hey,

Kind of bored and was wondering what is everyone's favourite, or what they thinks is the best soundgarden song based on the guitar riff and or guitar solos. Does not have to be your favourite song and by no means a well known or popular soundgarden solo!

I am still undecided as I keep changing my mind.... all depends on what mood I'm in and too much goodness to choose from!

Cheers!

Best riff: Jesus Christ Pose or Outshined

Best solo: Like Suicide or Tighter & Tighter

Kinda generic choices, I know, but come on, they're really good.

I myself love the riffs to Blow Up The Outside World and Nothing to Say the most, call me weird but they're out there, in a good way.

The solo...I'd have to think about that.

I think my favorite solo is Pretty Noose, or the breakdown-y solo to Blow up the Outside World. Both are really cool.

Riff - Hunted Down (Very simple but I still love it)

Solo - Like Suicide, seems a bit of a popular choice but it is brilliant.
How can I begin anything new with all of yesterday in me?

Ya, Like Suicide is brilliant! I love the whole build up of the song in general..starts real slow and eventually leads into that crazy solo! I try to learn it on guitar but so far I cant do it.. yet!

I also love the little mini solo in Never the Machine Forever. It sounds so cool and "robotic"

Stumbled across this at random.

Best riff: my affinity for the band began when I heard the opening chords from Outshined, so it has to be that. Followed by Rusty Cage and Hands All Over.

Best solo: Let Me Drown
