Grunge Timeline

This is a board for discussion about grunge on the whole. Stuff that doesn't relate to specific bands alone can go in here. Feel free to share with us how you discovered grunge and give your opinion as to what grunge is to you.

Check this bad boy out:

http://familyofrock.com/browse/grunge/

I used to have this as a giant poster on my bedroom wall - it was given out free in melody maker back in the mid 90s.

Nice link, that’s definitely worth owning, I hope a more comprehensive one would be made someday.

Isn't Jeff Buckley's Grace in the list? Even The Gits which is a punk rock band is here... or is it and maybe Am I blind?

Grazie Mille...

Wow man, thanks for this awesome list, it made me realised that 4 of my 5 favorite albums
of all time were released in 1991! this is an amazing fact that i missed somehow, those are
the albums by the way:

Badmotorfinfer - Soundgarden
Ten - Pearl Jam
Temple of the dog
Nevermind - Nirvana

the fifth album is not in the list (well it's not grunge), it's "automatic for the people" by REM

damn, i've spent about an hour or two to make it into image.
but it's finally done: http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/9206/grungetree.png
i think, anyone who wants it as a poster could vectorize this pic and print it.

You just reminded me of that thread we used to have in which we remembered stuff about the forum. Like grungeforum highlights? "Do you remember when Jan..." etc.
