I'd say 23 Modern Stories by Love Battery. More heavy than metal. And everything by Flop as well.

being heavy is all in the guitar playing blah blah blah, being loud does not mean your heavy. nu metal bands like shitknot make loud retarded noises but it doesn't mean they are metal or heavy.
