Bands in Movies and TV shows

This is a board for discussion about grunge on the whole. Stuff that doesn't relate to specific bands alone can go in here. Feel free to share with us how you discovered grunge and give your opinion as to what grunge is to you.

Bands in Movies and TV shows

Post by Canucker » Thu Sep 14, 2017 7:16 pm

Is there a thread yet about this?.....band appearances in movies and tv by what i mean as part of FICTIONAL STORIES (not documentary type stuff).... like they can be playing themselves but in the context of a fictional story.....

Like Mudhoney was in the movie Bullworth..... fictional story but I think they played themselves
Soundgarden.... Chris was in Singles playing a random dude
Pearljam.....also in Singles playing Citizen Dick band members
Smashing Pumpkins.....the Simpsons....playing themselves on the Hulaballoza tour...
Primus.....southpark
Ween.....Southpark

so what/who am i missing? has this kinda thing already been posted?

Queens of the Stone Age were on American Dad too.

Eddie Vedder played in season 3 of Twin Peaks as an alternate self with his baby name Edward Louis Severson, bretty cool.

Not really any spoilers here:

Sonic Youth was on the Simpsons as well, I think on that very same episode, not sure, I forget. Kurt Cobain also appeared on South Park before too, just by himself though, to my knowledge. Although not grunge/alternative, Van Halen was also on South Park.

I haven't heard of that movie but I know they were in Black Sheep. 7 year Bitch were in Mad Love, and L7 were in a movie as the band "Camel Lips".

did i mix up Blacksheep with Bullworth? I've seen the clip I've never seen either movie so I could easily have screwed that one up.
