New Lanegan

Talk about the formidable Screaming Trees, the first band I ever saw live (opening for Soul Asylum and Spin Doctors in the early 90s).

I didn't even know it came out. I'm gonna check it out today!

I am thrilled to see there's a version of WTF with Marc Maron that has both Mac Demarco and Mark Lanegan. As an interview junkie, that's the gold mine!

I come from a country of northern lights, lightless days and nightless nights.
I'm not gonna sit around and waste my precious divine energy trying to explain and be ashamed of things you think are wrong with me.

The John Robb Tapes | Mark Lanegan
'The John Robb Tapes' is a new series which unearths the incredible archive of old interviews that music journalist John Robb has amassed over the years.
Episode 5 is an interview with Mark Lanegan
In this interview he tells the story of growing up with his band, The Screaming Trees...the grunge scene in Seattle... his close friendship with Kurt Cobain... and the punk and post-punk music which inspired him onto his idiosyncratic trip and brilliant solo career.

New album sounds good! Also, another one coming with the book in like April or something?

Also, Joseph Arthurs Come To Where I'm From podcast Mark Lanegan episode is a MUST listen, nearly 2 hours of laugh and life and sadness with Mark (Kurt, Layne, Chris, all of it) and it's the best thing ever! On YouTube and wherever you listen to podcasts.

I enjoyed his new album as well and I"ll keep that in mind! I haven't really cared for podcasts in a while.
