Watched The Big Lebowski, and I'm just saying that was one hell of a ride. Still good though.

I suppose it is easier to pick out from about 30 years worth of material and say it's better than two albums. But Unknown Pleasures and Closer are far better than anything NO released. I suppose Joy Division are just more challenging and complex to get into. Perhaps one day you kids will develop the intellect required. Til then, enjoy your spin-off.

How funny, my brother and mother started watching it, so now I've seen it. I loved it. It reminds me of Pulp Fiction.

We watched The Guard with Robbie Benson and Don Cheadle yesterday evening. My wife fell asleep halfway through and I corrected exams and did the laundry

Fast & Furious 7

A lot of love for it on imdb. I wasn't watching it ready to cry cause some dead guy was acting in it.

I enjoyed the CG stunts, some mega over-the-top though. Ronda is hot shit but needs acting lessons. My old buddy the Rock was in it for about 10 minutes and felt sort of meh.

There was a lot of Vinny talking a load of nonsense in a low voice and stereotypical black guy humour but it were alright.

Drive. Ryan Gosling has successfully showed he is more than capable breaking the typecast. Although his character didn't have much characterization and nothing really stood out from it.

But honestly it's made me optimistic about him being cast for the new Blade Runner. His performance in drive was very similar.

I checked out The Day the Earth Stood Still (51), Groundhog Day and Source Code from the library on Tuesday, just finished them all right now.

TDtESS was good, but really it felt as if the run time was extended with a somewhat unrelated but interesting storyline, and in the end I found out that I already knew what happened cause some film professor spoiled it for me (I snuck into a film class).

Groundhog Day and Source Code were amazing.
I knew what both films were about
although it wasn't until I sat and saw them that I realized
how coincidental it was that both films had similar plot devices and themes.

Strangely I never got around to watch the movie "Singles" mainly because I knew it was a chick flick. Until last night. Wife was in the mood for a classic and I found it and gave it a go.

The story made me feel like hitting a brick wall just to get my testosterone levels back up. But otherwise I really enjoy enjoyed it. How else could you not with Pearl Jam, AiC and Chris Cornell in the movie and soundtrack. I'll have to watch it again just to play spot the band again.

I only watched it because the setting was in Seattle and I knew AiC were in it. Didn't really pay attention to the story, just loved the music. And they played fuckin' Mother Love Bone in the soundtrack for godsssss sake!

Well of course it's basically rom com stuff. I like the awkward mixture of standard dialogue and the whole grunge setting, although I can understand that it may seem too awkward to others.
