Avatar. No contest. There have probably been worse films but relative to budget and critical response, Avatar is hands down the most boring piece of drivel I've ever watched.

I find it hard to believe that with the essentially blank cheque that James Cameron had to work with that he couldn't have invested in a better script or writers. For me, films, and in fact all art forms are about making people feel things. On the most basic level, you at least hope to feel some sort of connection with the characters. Instead, you get one dimensional characters acting out a completely banal and familiar story. Enemy infiltrates natives/foreigners, learns to appreciate culture, decides he wants to shag one of them. How original. From the very beginning of the film you know exactly what is going to happen and how it is going to happen, unfortunately some people have been distracted by the giant smurfs that look so realistic that we almost believe that they look like what smurfs would look like if they were real, or something?

It's a sad reflection of our society that this God-awful film is the highest grossing film of all time. Dire.
How can I begin anything new with all of yesterday in me?

Agreed 100%. Avatar is the most overrated movie ever.

I think alot of movies nowadays are crap and i wish hollywood would stop trying to remake classic movies and making them ten times worse, the 80s and 90s had some classic movies though.

Exactly, i think people got distracted by the CGI and forgot about the plot and everything, i payed a shitload so i could watch it on 3D and it sucked, i think james cameron payed the critics to like the movie

ALMOST
Every new movie that comes out that's
comedy is pretty predictable and shitty and will
always have the same people and around the same
plot, and always be naked.

:S i want REAL movies to come out again,
engaging and really thrilling...nothing is like that anymore..

I mean, their not HORRIBLE because i love the comedy
but without it, it's just a shitty love story with porn.

Eight legged freaks.
Shake it like a Polaroid picture.

Follow your dreams, no one can stop you.
Except a person in a tank.
A person in a tank could probably stop you.

If only there were more movies like Blood Freak(1972), the wonderful pro-jesus anti-drug thanksgiving movie starring a Croatian Vietnam veteran as Herschel, the biker turkey junkie.
