Matt cause he's perfect. He's just so good.

I'm not gonna sit around and waste my precious divine energy trying to explain and be ashamed of things you think are wrong with me.

Well, he is. And as much as I love him as a person, the albums he recorded with the band just aren't among my favorites. Dave A would've been my other choice.

To be honest, and this might be a bit of controversial choice that few will agree with, but to be brutally honest and entirely truthful...I'm actually not arsed.

I love Matt but I always thought Abbruzzese goes better with Puearl Juashm, for totally irrational reasons.

Because his last name sounds like an Italian dish which goes well with the Jam part of the band's name. My theory.

Also, his looks. With him, Pearl Jam is the "Only brown haired fellas band". I dig that. Also, can't resist that smile.

Wow, I'm surprised Mat is leading. I always hear everyone say they want Dave A back and he was the best PJ drummer, and he was the best for the band, and the way he played was loose and groovey and perfect. I'd say him too, but I'm biased, as I want the cute guy with the long hair and the soul patch.

I really like Dave Abbruzzese, but Matt Cameron is just better. He's tighter, groovier, more powerful, more tasteful, and a cooler human being. He's also the only drummer to make actual songwriting contributions to Pearl Jam (unless you count Jack Irons' bullshit).

Also he does backing vocals

Dave Abbruzzese was the man.

I can't believe he was kicked out because he enjoyed being a rock star

Where's Matt Chamberlain? He was great! But still, Dave A. takes the title of the best PJ drummerboy.

Altho I'm in love with Cameron I have to say he doesn't fit to PJ... his style is too heavy (mainly you can see it when he's playing live their old stuff). He's just perfect for Soundgarden, but PJ needs some more subtle accents and grooving... and this is what Abbruzzese ensured.

But another thing is PJ used to be more groovy in the nineties... so it's hard to compare because nowadays
their drummer has much less space for some rhythm variations due to simpler compositions.
