Yes man.. And somehow even if you find them there'll be 2 problems.
1. They wont satisfy you
2. They'll have an attitude

That's basically why I became a drummer.

Finding a drummer is possible but chances are they'll go missing a lot once they're in the band. Happened a lot with four drummers I played with in the past.

I think in ratio to the amount of people around here there is a nice amount of drummers. Well, there are three that I know of, two of which are brothers. And yes, one of them definitely has...how can I put it? He had quite a deal of drama going on with his ex-girlfriend. None of them are junkies, so that's a good fortune. :)

Drummers are often major slackers because they know they are in demand. So many drummers around here are in multiple projects. The two good responsible drummers (oxymoron?) I know live in the city so thats a no go.....Its not gonna be easy to come up with somebody because that this point we are looking for someone who has a jam spot, can drive (why can so many drummers not drive????) and wants to take things serious enought at least tour for a week next summer...possibly but a long shot...outside of the country. The best suited guy we know right now who is gonna sit in for a three song e.p./demo is already in three bands...which isn't really well suited at all!

that's why I love beeing a drummer...
it's like beeing a translator from Punjabi to Urdu language;D - There's so few of them that you can be sure that there's always a job for you;))
And if you are actually a good drummer you are treated almost like a God.

For some reason I'm leaning more towards drums than guitar. Although I'd like to learn guitar a little too, enough to be able to do something by myself. But drumming still sounds better.
I come from a country of northern lights, lightless days and nightless nights.
I'm not gonna sit around and waste my precious divine energy trying to explain and be ashamed of things you think are wrong with me.

If you have a place to practice drums and could host practices there you'll always have a band...if you play guitar you better know a lot of people or you'll never find a band. I never had the patience to play drums for longer then a half an hour on my own and never wanted to be a drummer in a band...my brain pays to much attention to guitar when listening to music.

You know, all this talk about drumming is really starting to make me wonder if that's what I should do. I want to be a guitarist but I've already learned a few things on the drum set, and 8) I don't mean to brag, but I'm probably the best percussionist in my school band. And unlike you Canucker, I pay a lot of attention to the drums.

Secretly my motivation for starting this thread was really just to make more people consider playing drums....thereby making drummers less rare and dropping they're value!
