Well, even if Dan's going to try to get other musicians as well, Im really going to do my best to make this cover as awesome as possible, although, I doubt that I can do it better, because Heart shaped box is an really awesome song!!!

Just make it your own and it should be great! In fact, it looks like if everyone does what they say they might do this album is going to very much kick some ass!

Kristin, When this project is set up and ready to be announced to more people, would you mind announcing it on your Grunge Band page on Facebook? There may be some of those bands interested too.

Thank you very much. :)
I'm in the process of making a webpage and a place where the tracks can be uploaded. Once that is done the green light will be on.

I definitely wanna contribute! Have to talk to the rest of the band about it tough... But I think It´ll be all right. I´d like to do either Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, Frances Farmer or Very Ape

Cool! I hope you get them to do one of those songs. I have had resistance from my band about doing a song so I have already set up an "all star" session with some kick ass Iowa musicians. We'll see how it goes.

If its not to late I'd like to try and do something. Seems like everyone has a song picked
Can I do Sappy? I always loved that tune and I think it was an extra that never made
It on in utereo. If not let me know what's left, I'll tackle any tune, I think it'll be fun.
Thanks

Mike,
Feel free to choose and do any track including the b sides. In this project no one can really call a song to reserve it and anyone is free to submit including those not on the grunge forum. Best of luck and looking forward to hearing your submission.

I'm not sure Raw Mojo is going to do it. When I brought it up our drummer told me he was told by someone he respects a lot that he should never cover Nirvana again. So they are mulling it over. In the meantime, I am not one to sit around and wait so I asked my friends in the band "Man The Machine" http://www.manthemachine.net if they would back me up on this track and they agreed. We are trying to decide if we should call the project "Man The Mojo" or "Mojo The Machine".

Anyway, we are going to give "Milk It" a run and see how it goes. I pretty much know how to play every song off the album and these guys are top notch musicians who play in a Tool cover band on the side so they can get down any Nirvana song I throw at them in about 5 minutes. Plus they own their own studio and have great gear. Should be fun. Who knows what else we will end up recording during those sessions?
