I love that gif

I always love everything too much to make a proper review with helpful criticisms and whatnot (unless it's the garbage of today, then I could go to town), so I haven't checked it out yet, but I'm sure I'll like all of them.

You sound really good on this song. I loved the parts where you used a whammy pedal! I kind of wish the song was a bit more progressive though since it's so damn long! The instrumental part at the end was awesome.
Thanks you! Do you mean the vocals sound good? Just curious because I was trying a new vocal processor on this track. I can totally understand the want for it to be more progressive but when I wrote it I had no idea it was going to be over 10 minutes long! I just got a group of buddies together and we ended up turning it into some kind of Neil Young "Like A Hurricane/Powderfinger" jam.
shanze wrote: Raw Mojo - Home

Great album closer! I loved the song, I don't think I've heard this softer side of Raw Mojo before at all! Sounds like how it feels like when the party is over. Powerful shit.
Very nice compliment, thank you. We do actually have a bit of a softer side but we tend to brush those songs off. It's like the band feels too naked without the power of rock behind us. Personally, I love all kinds of music and enjoy stretching out a bit though I think this song is kind of like your standard "Grunge" song with the soft verse and the loud chorus. Not that it's a bad thing. I love this song just as much as the rest of them.

Anyway, thanks for the review. It was a fun read!

jaketheman091 wrote:Shanze, by "instruments", do you mean the guitars? Understandable since they're very distorted, but come on man! Also, the drums are just one consistent rhythm that drives all the way through, and it isn't that hard to overlook. Otherwise, listen with headphones. They aren't that incoherent, are they?
Dude, the song was good, I liked the vocal harmonies and shit but I think the problem is that the instruments don't really get their turn, the vox are on all the time. I don't mean that every song should always have a guitar solo etc. but this one would've benefited from something more different between verses or something.
boxcar wrote:Grither supplied 2 songs and I really struggled with which one to put on the compilation. Did you hear the other one on the bonus track Shanze? Also, you skipped your own review. It would be cool to hear your own view on your song.
I listened to it now and I like the bonus song a lot more! Actually this one is fucking great! Ok... I'll review my song

Faggot Sapiens - I Can't

The song was good but cut back the whining, will ya? The structure of the vocal parts was good but could you please sing about something else than "today I took a shower"? You're going a bit too far with trying to find something everybody could relate to! The chorus could've used more oomph on the guitars.
Amplified wrote:Geeeeeeeeeeez that's pretty harsh man. My singing isn't great and it gets a little off time but tear my heart out why don't ya. Covering songs isn't about adding to a song, it's about making it your own.
You didn't even make it your own, you just made it terrible! I'm sure you can make some good tracks, this wasn't one of them. Isn't the point of criticism to give your honest opinion? Would rather hear me say "Good job!" even when I didn't like it?

Thank you! Also, I like how in your review you just said what you thought of the music. That is what good reviewers do (even if we don't always agree with them). It pushes the boundaries of the mind to be challenged which is a great exercise.

Fixed it. Weird glitch. It was spelled right on everything except for the track listing available to the public. I just retyped it and it seems to have fixed itself. IDK. Sorry about that. It should be good now.

Nice. Glad you liked my track, my buddy Gabe did all the instrumentation through midi, & he had like 12 songs all together that he picked out different people to sing on. I don't like JUST singing (since I'm a musician) so that's why there's like 4 layers of vocal tracks :P :P :P I had to do SOMETHING XD

This sucked. I love QOTSA. QOTSA is my everything. QOTSA is my drug of choice. This was out of tune and out of sync and didn't add anything to the song. I didn't mind it so much until the chorus but that just was too awful. I'm sorry.

hahaha come on dude, your last submission was CALLED off key, out of tune, & out of sync XD this should be a compliment
