Any bands people can recommend sort of similar to Dinosaur Jr? I don't mean side projects or anything though.
How can I begin anything new with all of yesterday in me?

I listen to a lot of Yo La Tango, Sebadoh and Lemonheads. All of them sound somewhat similiar to Dino Jr. to me.

Buffalo Tom, at least their first two albums (both produced by Masics) back in the day Buffalo Tom were affectionatly called Dinosaur Jr. Jr.
Pavement are sort of similar in their lo-fi feel.
Possibly Sonic Youth

If Sonic Youth is Nirvana's cool, responsible, artsy older brother with a cute asian girlfriend, then Dinosaur Jr would be the best friend you had in high school that was constantly stoned.
