Dinosaur Jr Anyone??

Post by March2Fuzz » Mon Aug 22, 2005 4:09 am

I havnt seen anyone mention this sickass band. Does anyone like them?? Im a huge fan at the mo. I got all their SST records, Green Mind, Where u been and Without a sound....oh and BBC sessions. My favorite being Your livin all over me. I fucking love that Trademark SST sound of the mid-late 80s. Ive seen them once this june in london for their reunion tour where they played songs from their first 3 records whcih rocked, and im also goin to see them in camden where they perform the entire Your livin alover me!!!!!! Gonna be sick!

If youve not heared them: Download Soulseek, search Dinosaur Jr and download the album "Your Living All Over Me" You wont be dissapointed.

Yeah, they were awesome :D

They had an amazing rack of speakers and MIDI stuff, and they're fantastic instrumentalists, especially the singer/guitarist. He's a perfectionist.

Too bad no one in the audience cared about them though, they were playing just before korn.

Well it was a summer festival thing, so the bands just played one after another. That's the only way to see foreign "big" bands where I live, because the only band that ever gig here is U2.

Well okay it's not Europe's Mexico... That's Poland

But it's like... Europe's Maine or something... a (relatively) shitty, overlooked and poor place.

Of course I've never been to Maine, so I wouldn't really know, but that's the idea that I get from movies, etc

Yeha those are some good songs, but get their earlier stuff.Little furry things is an early one, off their 2and album

Get the tunes:

The lung
Sludgefest
Kracked
Tarpit
In a jar
Bulbs of passion
Cats in a bowl
Freakscene
Let it ride
Rasins

all those songs rock, theyre more fuzzed out, slacker grunge rock than theyre latter stuff. But if u really want to, just get the first 3 records, u wont be dissapointed!

Can anyone back me up on this?
