3 disc deluxe box set. The DVD not only has the entire Moore show but Self Pollution Radio footage and the video for River of Deceit.

It's kind of crazy to think about how we have to encourage buying and supporting bands we love. Mp3's have changed the world forever, for better or worse. Personally, I like having the artwork and just a physical object I can hold in my hands. I understand not being able to afford everything you want too. Just saying...

It's true. Most retail stores who carry music still do an abysmal job. Nothing is ever in any kind of order as if carrying music is more of a required afterthought than a viable sales item. I truly miss going into shops and thumbing around for hours looking for rare albums to add to my collection.

Daniel Tosh just had a segment on his show where he was giving away free gift cards, one of them being a $9 iTunes card. He made a joke bout how you could use I to buy half an album for free or you can just get on any other site and download any ans as many albums you wasn't for free.

Sad but true.

Some people say things to justify it like bands make their money on tour but they don't think bout where that tour start-up money comes from, or what about bands who had a major member pass away? Should they not get royalties because they can't tour?

Not that everyone can do this but I make it a point to buy the CD of any band we play a show with out of my portion of the pay for the night. The people doing it for the love and pour their heart, soul, and hard earned cash into doing this line of work deserves to be heard and make 5 bucks and I am happy to do that. Just last night I bought a disc from a band who didn't have the money to make discs other than to DIY burn the themselves and its a good listen. We old maybe 10 disks but I'm not sure. I just kept the money in a pile and gave it to The Rock Against Rape foundation at the end of the night simply because I find giving to others to be fulfilling. I don't have the money to do it all of the time but in this case I saw more whys than why nots. Think about that next time you can't decide between supporting an artist or some kind of fleeting instant gratification. :)
