What they should do is Pearl Jam it! And by that I mean put one or two songs online for people to write and sing stuff over and then send them in. That way they would know who has the chops to write and sing for the band.

Idea is great and could give a shoot for unknown people.

About a re-release of "Above". I hope that remaster will do a guy who did a Ten remaster. It would sound great. This live record that they are workin' I hope it will be a full remaster dvd from moore show.THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING!!!

The guy who remixed Ten was Brendan O'Brien but I doubt they will get him as he is one of the most expensive rock producers at the moment. Quite deservedly so in my opinion because he always delivers.
Debut album out now, listen to the whole thing on Soundcloud here ...

Cornell, Lanegan and Vedder wil be too obvious... i think i'd like to hear them, but not as the first lead singer.
I will surely not like Cantrell or Weiland...

but what about Travis Meeks (Days of the new)?
and Eric Dover (Jellyfish, Slash's Snakepit, Imperial Drag)?

Ewwww no.

And no remaster either :P They need to just do new stuff :)

hows about David Duet? Cat Butt aaahaha

I would totally pick all the rockabilly-ish singers if it fit the music (Gas Huffer, Cat Butt, Girl Trouble etc)

I wish we could have Andrey Wood :(

My top 5 would be: (In no particular order)

Ben McMillan (Gruntruck) would be a good choice in my book, he has strong vocals

Michael Anderson (Blood Circus)

Mark Hennessy (Paw)

Carrie Akre (Hammerbox) come on guys, you know that'd be awesome ;)

Ron Nine

Maybe combine a high & low singer like Ron Nine & Mark Hennessy

Does anyone else think that the Album & remaster won't be out by the end of the year?

I really hope it is, but it seems they didn't allow much time for finding a singer, laying down the vocals, remastering and album art etc... unless it is all hush hush and they are actually busy working on it now.

Thoughts...?

If Lanegan doesnt do it, McCready should forget it, but then again AIC have slowly moved on w William...so who knows?

Why would they remaster Above? It sounds great as is.

Everyone seems to be remastering nowadays. I think it's just a thing to do, especially for an anniversary.
