Travis Meeks would be great

Yeah, at least he'd fulfill the rehab quota.

Sorry if I'm repeating something already said, but apparently the re-release of above will have a few new tracks on it.

I just came across this article:
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ ... z2LGevLujm

that has one of the new songs - Locomotive.

I think Mad Season should be retired for good. Trying to revive it now feels disrespectful somehow. Wasn't it created to give Layne something to keep his mind busy in the first place?

I kind of think it would be disrespectful not to do something with those recordings. Yes, we all love Layne and miss him a lot. However, this bad was created out of the 4 members being in rehab together giving them a common goal and something to work on while trying to kick their addictions. When these "new" recordings were made the band knew Layne may or may not take part in the project because of his ailing health. Yes the band worked hard creating this music together until their bass player Baker died. I wouldn't think Layne's ego would be so big that he wouldn't want his friends to release this music they worked on together and especially with Mark singing (who indecently sang on the first album as well). If anything, this is a tribute to the music they made with Layne and Baker who are no longer with us.

Just my opinion though...

Fair enough, man. You make a logical argument, I respect your opinion
