That would depend a lot on how the person is built and also their facial features. When I wore T-shirts and flannels (in the early 90's), I did look like a dude. Totally  That style just never looked good on me. Had I added more girlie stuff on top of it, maybe it would have helped some, but I didn't know how to do that properly.

I only got one "real" flannel shirt the rest´s just these thin cotton clones with an awful lot of badges that are supposed to make it look vintage...

I dress like a teacher on weekdays and get into band tee mode at night or when I'm going to a concert ;)

I'm too much of a lazy miserable prick to wash my hair on weekends so it gets all gross and grungy

I constantly wear flannel over a band shirt

My jeans are all ripped

I only wear Doc Martins and Cons

I guess I'm grunge by accident.

I only wash my hair on weekends...cus thats when I hang out with smokers! Other then that I just always wet my hair...otherwise if its to clean it is uncontrolable.

Accidentally came across this, from 2013. Sounds like my hair meets the criteria of what is grungey

Quick translation: "Grunge hair may not be the best choice for a library or office work. Instead, the hairstyle is in its element in a more casual environment, such as at parties, time spent with friends in a bar, or a day off. Grunge style is a great way to communicate the attitude without much hassle!"

Yeah, I'm starting to see more people at my highschool wearing grungey shit. I wear a flannel over a 90s band shirt (Nirvana, AiC, etc.) I have black, grey, and blue ripped jeans, my hair is curly and messy. Sorta like Layne's.

If you consider that grungey, then yeah. If you're wondering, it's from when we were recording one of our songs.
