We have three big thrift stores here spread over two plazas (basically beside each other)... every punk kid in town use to work at the value village. One of em was a good friend from one of the other bands...he could get fifty percent off stuff as long as it wasn't on a day he was working...so we went and would buy between 40 and 60 blank shirts so I could silk screen em for bands in town. Did that a few times a year when the scene was big here. I haven't got anything amazing recently but I cut down on my trips over the past two years...I'm out of space...brand new size 12 docs for $20 was one of my better/useful finds... about ten years ago there was a DJ's vinyl collection that came in at the Salvation army so for fifty cents a piece (they jumped to two bucks all of a sudden a couple years ago)...I got close to a hundred records all in amazing shape...a lot of undergroundish 80s stuff like The Smiths, The Cure, Bauhaus, Violent Femmes, Alien Sex Fiend and more. Quite a few 12" singles.

I would have guessed we would already have a thread like this, but anyway a few weeks ago I found a purple pair of corduroy pants and a pink pair, for $4 each. They fit pretty well besides being a bit big, but they are so comfortable, and those are my favorite colors.

I got me overcoat in a charity shop. Good one too, Dunne & Co. Though mostly, the clothes are shite and I just end up buying records. From one shop in particular, I've procured about nine Dubliners records!

I buy most of my clothes from thrift stores. I'm not gonna post them, cause this thread would explode.

It's amazing how much clothes I have. And the truth is, I haven't even spent that much money on them. I'm selling some though, and making a give-away in Tumblr. And then I promised Jamie some too :)

Haha Sadie then just post some of your favorite finds!

The only good thing about Texas is that the Thrift stores are AMAZING. More than anywhere in Houston, you will never leave empty handed and shirts don't cost more than 2 or 3 dollars. And most people here don't want what I want, so I always get something great when I go. :D

I've been meaning to go to some Thrift stores in Alabama while I was there, but didn't have the time. Maybe when I go back I'll eventually go, especially when one near campus gives 30% off to students on campus.

I found this weird shirt yesterday! I have no idea what it's supposed to be (isn't Volcom a skate brand?) but I love the graphic!
Edit: Oops, I accidentally took the pic upside down..

Man, I wish I had the same luck as you with finding clothes. :P

I found:
A parkour-y tshirt
A pinstripe suit (that I found on the day of Homecoming dance at my school XD)
A working DDR pad
Star Trek movies 1-9
GTA 3
A big stack of Magic the Gathering cards
An SNES
Dragon Lance novels
Goldeneye 007 for the N64
Pokémon Gold

I don't think I'll find stuff like Beavis & Butthead and SLC Punk given that I live in the state of Utah. -__-

I should go to thrift stores more often.

I found an authentic flannel button-up shirt and I've worn it almost every day. Almost.

Boo! And it's be so appropriate to find SLC Punk in Utah.

Since then i've found;

1 immortal shirt
2 pairs of Docs
1 Alien shirt (From the Movie Alien) It's funny though because my boobs make it look like it's in 3D
A beanie baby that is exactly like the one I was given when I was in the hospital in the late 90's. I almost cried.
Crowley book
First Edition, original Hardcovers of IT, The Shining, Delores Calborine, and Tommy Knockers.
A Boston Shirt
A Dimmu shirt (for the bf)
Another Death Clock Shirt
Some dresses from the 70s
Some Leather 4 inch high heeled Mary Jane Pumps
A Dr. Dre shirt
And a bunch of stuff for my online store to sell.

And I can't remember much else. Gonna go this Friday.
