Grunge isnt really like the scenes of today where you have a set look and uniform. grunge was a whatever you want fashion. Put on whatevers in your wardrobe, whatever is laying around your room. Thats grunge. Dont worry about it just wear it. Back in the day we used to wear flannel cause it was cheap. You could get a shirt in Millets for a few quid. Jeans cause thats all there was. We really didnt have the choice you have nowdays it was just blue denim jeans. They where ripped because we couldnt afford to keep buying new pairs and if like me you skateboarded you would rip them. Converse back in the day they where cheap and the alternative to the expensive Nike Air SC2's that where in fashion. Unlike nowdays Converse where cheap. Military boots, again cheap from army surplus shops. OF course that was then and this is now. So dont worry about it just wear whatever.

Well, in my opinion grunge is anti-mainstream. So I just wear what I think looks okay, and not to many other people wear, you may call this posing but, I just think that what people call "grunge-fashion" looks good, so I wear it.

I don't like to wear the same branded junk everyone else is wearing. I avoid the mainstream by shopping at charity shops. The clothes there are cheap and durable. I just wear whatevers comfy. I wear whatever, as long as it's not popular I'm really not that bothered. I often buy cheap second hand clothes and customize them by sewing on band patches and such to add a bit of individuality.
To me Grunge doesn't really have a fashion style, I think it kinda became a fashion style because Grunge fans cared so little about fashion they wore old and worn out clothes, which in itself became an accidental fashion. I think it's okay to aim for the "Grunge fashion style", but I would never prioritize it over the music.
