Re: Would Pearl Jam exist without Andrew Wood's death?

I think it's amazing Andy still generates passion and concern, especially considering that none of his bands really broke that big to have an artistic or commercial impact as big as Nirvana's or Pearl Jam's. 100% agree! It's really amazing the passion that follows him, but it's easy to understand a...

Re: Would Pearl Jam exist without Andrew Wood's death?

That's cool. You're 100% entitled to your opinion, Paul. Keep in mind Olympus was recordings done between 83-86. Most of it done when Andy was 17. And was stuff that was incomplete and most not done in a studio even. It was actually more to do with Regan than Stone that it was released. Regan was pa...

Re: Would Pearl Jam exist without Andrew Wood's death?

And Mercury wasn't going to let him go freely. His contract with Polygram allowed for solo albums/different projects. He would've been able to not be in MLB and still fullfill his contract to them. There was a reason why Andy chose not to attend the meeting with potential Road Managers on that fate...

Re: Would Pearl Jam exist without Andrew Wood's death?

I don't know if there would have been Pearl Jam as we know it now, but there wouldn't have been Love Bone for much longer either. What makes you say that? I knew Andy. His family is my family, and alot of his friends are my friends. His heart wasn't in Love Bone at the point that he left us. He was...

Andy's 12 string that is at the Seattle HRC was bought by them for more than the bass is appraised at. And the Lakers jersey was close!

Re: Andy Wood's Malfunkshun bass up for sale soon

Who is selling this? Kevin is. We got it back from EMP this summer after it spent the past 15 years there. It's well into 20 grand purchase price. I'm trying to work a deal with Kevin right now for it and his old Explorer that is in this pic. http://sp7.fotolog.com/photo/55/52/27/malfunkshun/115180...

Re: alice in chains and soundgarden shouldn't of reunited

I get really annoyed when people say AiC shouldn't have reunited or should have changed their name. At it's most basic form, the most important thing is what the members feel... it's not like a bar which has closed down and a new one has opened up in its place with a different name. As long as band...

Re: alice in chains and soundgarden shouldn't of reunited

It's not always about money, or (gasp) the fans. It's about a bunch of guys playing music they love, with people they enjoy writing/recording/playing shows with etc. Bands have the right to play as long as they want or with any configuration they choose. Sometimes a member dies... and that sucks. Bu...
