Re: Mark Lanegan's New Album: Straight Songs of Sorrow Out in May

There's a lot more electronica that I would expect but there's some tracks with some hard hitting lyrics.

Re: Forum For Sale

I saw that and I instantly thought of the post I made about the forum shutting down. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=27346

I know if given the chance, Evee said she would buy it before it was shut down.

I haven't had the heart to hear this cover but the video somehow made it more entertaining.

I've been enjoying it a lot here as well. Marks voice is really rich and full. Just kind of slides around your brain when you listen.
Exactly! And he's a really good storyteller as well. I know he's most likely reading his book/transcript but he draws you in.

Re: Mark Lanegan's Memoir: Sing Backwards and Weep

I think I first heard him through his contributions with Queens of the Stone Age, specifically Hanging Tree. I then moved on to his solo wo...

Mark Lanegan's Memoir: Sing Backwards and Weep

Today, in the US at least, Mark's memoir came out and I found out he was releasing an Audible (audiobook) version with him narrating. I'm about to finish Chapter 4 and it's been amazing thus far. He gives such an insight into his childhood and the workings of the Screaming Trees, which I'll admit I'...

I'll be honest, even though I made this thread years ago I scared myself for a second.

This song is such a banger and it makes me far better and interesting that the guy singing is behind the Filthy Frank character on YouTube and all the memes.

Re: Vicky Cornell Sues Soundgarden Over Allegedly Unpaid Royalties, Unreleased Recordings

Right, but ... out of interest ... if the significant other is in the same group as was the deceased band member... as with, for instance, Sandy Denny and Trevor Lucas in Fotheringay (both were in Fairport Convention, but never simultaneously), with Denny dying in 1978 (Trevor is now deceased, too)...
