Re: The best song

I'm going through one of the darkest times of my life right now but for whatever SG is not a part of it. I'm listening to Tycho and Simpsonwave, chill stuff that both saves me from drowning and pushes my head underwater. I guess since Chris died I haven't allowed SG to be part of my life anymore eve...

Re: Matt Cameron's FIRST SOLO ALBUM Cave Dweller!

Mega stoked about this. Also the first new music since Chris's death which will never not be a sad thing but anyway.

(Secretly hoping for a Wellwater Conspiracy reunion too...)

Re: Grunge freuds?

Not really a grunge feud but I read that a lot of Seattle bands were pissed off about Steve Fisk calling Seattle "lame" in "Hype!" and that the music scene solely consisted of Pere Ubu/Killing Joke/Talking Heads cover bands.

Nice. He produced my favorite all women band La Luz but his own stuff is neat too.

Re: Queens of the Stone Age

I love love loved the first album but then didn't buy the second one when it came out and kinda missed the Queens train for good. Someone would have to kidmap me and chain me to a stereo playing all albums front to back.

Re: Should there be a posthumous album?

omg a new temple album would be the most depressing thing :( I mean it totally would make sense but poor Eddie and the other guys :((((

(this is probably really cynical but we're approaching a point where it would make sense to merge the surviving original grunge bands into two or three outfits, no?

Re: Grunge freuds?

Sorry but I have to point out how funny it is that this is titled "Grunge FREUDS" instead of feuds...*cough freudian slip to the max* ;) OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT ONLY NOW HOW EMBARRASSING OMG Oh screw it, it'll make this thread legendary   I bet the Melvins must have pissed off any an...

Grunge freuds?

I know this is kinda tabloid-ish but oh so entertaining too :P I thought of this because right now at this very minute there's a feud on Facebook between Carrie Akre (of Hammerbox and Goodness fame) and Xana La Fuente (whom you might know as Andy Wood's muse and artist in her own right) and I'm just...

Should there be a posthumous album?

I know this is going through various music news outlets but wanted to know what you guys think about this. Not sure if the band really had actually recorded anything or was just gearing up again when Chris died (fuck it still feels so goddamn weird WRONG to write that!) but would it feel right if th...

Re: Grunge Forum 500

Well as long as Dan Boxcar has other issues to focus on this comp probably won't get anywhere. Plus we don't have that many active users as of now, let alone ones that actually make music. I think it's going to happen (because the forum never truly dies) but like you fine people said before me, one ...
