Re: Sumé - The Sound of a Revolution

Yeah, just scrolling along the north of Canada with Google Maps shows you how vast and remote this gigantic territory is... The Inuit are hit hardest by climate change though so many of their traditional skills and much knowledge about nature and the environment is partially no longer applicable :-/

Sumé - The Sound of a Revolution

You may or may not remember that I have a knack for rockumentaries, especially those about somewhat less ordinary bands. So while I was gathering information about life in the Arctic (Canada and its Native peoples are a topic my students have to study for their A-Levels in English) I also checked ou...

Re: What are you currently listening to?

I finally got a new record player and it even has a cassette player too so right now I'm finally listening to my vinyl again, plus the vaporwave tapes that have accumulated lately. It's probably hell for audiophiles but I like being able to listen to my stuff again for just a few bucks :D

Re: Shawn Smith of Brad, Satchel, and Pigeonhed has passed away

I remember friends had set up a GoFundMe for him a while ago and he was pretty pissed off about it. He did struggle with financial and health problems but he didn't want anybody's pity for that. Another great Seattle voice is gone, and that April 5 date makes it kinda spooky indeed. This will always...

Re: Chris Cornell Box Set Coming out Nov. 16th

Sorry, not buying this. I'm tired of dead rockstars getting milked. The only thing I would spend money on would be the possible releases of their final album. Otherwise this Chris death cult really gets my goat. Sorry, but not sorry.

Re: Foo Fighters/Dave Grohl?

As non-essential as you may consider FF (in the sense of how did they take rock music to a new level), by that logic Krist Novoselic might just have played a similar sound and make even more millions but just about nobody listened to his post-Nirvana stuff.
