In which case, to speed things up, I will simply name two.

Iggy and Boiwe are like the two most over rated of all time. I really don't see the fascination for either. I wouldn't scream oh my god shut it off but I also wouldn't scream turn it up either. Iggys cover of Wild One is great but its a cover so it is what it is.
Okay. Which are your two bands?

Re: This band or that band?

The fuck are AC/CD? I hadn’t really heard of any of those two bands until now. Vaguely know Distillers. Having listened to a couple of the main songs in YouTube, I’ll probably go with them over Spinnerette, who seemed OK but not as good as Distillers. Hey, maybe I’ll buy a Distillers album if I see ...

Re: Gonna see them (probably)

Despite Alice In Chains being one of my all time favourite bands, I never really felt like I wanted to go and see them. I did think about it, five or six months ago, when AiC were in the UK (Leeds), but I didn’t bother. I suppose AiC isn’t really AiC without Layne. Though if Cantrell did a solo tour...

Re: This band or that band?

That One Way Or Another song by Blondie was pretty good. Oh, and Hanging On The Telephone is on a punk-compilation that I own. I never heard a huge amount of their other work, but I’ll choose them.

Re: Cassette Tapes

They’re near obsolete. But I know a few people who still use them. My friend, for example, he still drives a van from the 1990s, and he’s got a cassette player (nothing for CDs) in there. I think the big music retailers (in the U.K. anyway) are selling cassette tapes of that new Bohemian Rhapsody so...

Re: How old were you when Nevermind came out?

I was two years old when Nirvana released Nevermind. I first heard them through my grunge-obsessed uncle when I was eleven or twelve (early 2001), though I’d already been well aware of them and of Kurt Cobain, through the Foo Fighters connection. I first got my own physical copy of Nevermind a few m...

Rancid. Not got any records by Bad Religion, but I do have some from Rancid. That’s really all there is to it.

Re: This band or that band?

I try not to side with these types of conversations but this is from their own Wiki page: Oasis were most heavily influenced by the Beatles, an influence that was frequently labelled as an "obsession" by British media. I know what you're thinking, "Nearly EVERYONE is influenced by the Beatles!" Whi...

Squeeze

We don’t have a thread for these guys. Squeeze are probably my all time favourite pop band. Very melodic post-punk pop. A couple of my favourites:

Plus, Gallagher bros are cunts and never really liked their obsession with mimicking The Beatles.
Sorry, just read that, and they don't have an obsession with mimicking The Beatles.

I’ve not given either much time to be honest with you. Tripping Daisy I recall are quite good, but I can’t really remember. Nevertheless that is the answer.
