Re: Best Soundgarden Riff and Guitar Solo

Stumbled across this at random.

Best riff: my affinity for the band began when I heard the opening chords from Outshined, so it has to be that. Followed by Rusty Cage and Hands All Over.

Best solo: Let Me Drown

Re: Top 30 Albums

Setting my own rule that I’m allowed only one entry per band/artist (some opinion change since my last post here): 20. Candlebox - Candlebox 19. Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks 18. Green River - Come On Down 17. Buzzcocks - Love Bites 16. The Jam - In The City 15. Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff ...

Re: heaviest grunge song...

For a pop album, some of the stuff of Flop’s Whenever You’re Ready is heavy as fuck. The intro to Great Valediction is about as thrash as you can get.

Re: Oasis

Ahh, well Noel Gallagher appears to have totally blanked Liam with regards to the reunion. I don’t think much will come of this.
Nice to know that there is at least some will for a reunion on Liam’s side, I suppose.

Some might say we will find a brighter day.

Re: Oasis

Well I didn’t expect THIS: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/oasis-liam-gallagher-noel-twitter-reunion-tweet-alcohol-gig-a8455561.html%3famp I'll believe this when the concert happens. This isn't new. That might be. But it’s the closest we’ve got to a reu...

I like Oasis. And if I remember right, Jen does too. They're regularly on my playlists.

Re: Oasis

Even though the Gallaghers have produced some impressive solo work in the past near 10 years post-Oasis, I would love for a reunion somewhere down the line.

Re: Def Leppard

Surely anyone who considers Def Leppard to be the epitome of anti-Grunge has obviously never listened to any of their earlier stuff. Wtf is ant-grunge? Isn't that basically all of classic rock before the Seattle scene took off? I always thought that glam-metal was considered to be anti-grunge. Grun...

Re: Bands You Can't Stand

Drowning Pool are a band I’m not all that fond of. They’re not terrible I wouldn’t, but none of their stuff ever did anything for me (they were a one hit wonder anyway). Just not a good take on Nu-Metal IMHO.

Re: Guns N' Roses

Guns N Roses! Just seen this thread. One of my favourite bands. One of the best bands ever in my opinion. My favourite song has always been a tossup between Right Next Door To Hell, Civil War And You Could Be Mine. So as you can guess from those few choices, my favourite era for the band was the Use...
