Re: Gravel

... Check the OP. He said Portland, so he was talking about this, and I quote, new music.

https://gravel.bandcamp.com/

You mentioned songs from older albums that I spoke of. Gravel did not originate in Portland, so I'm trying to ask if that Gravel and this Gravel are the same.

Re: Gravel

It's this band. https://www.youtube.com/user/s142057/search?query=gravel Not sure exactly where they were from though. That user only has videos from older Gravel, so I still don't know. Is there a source that directly says that the band mentioned in the first post is the same as the one that relea...

Bandcamp?

Let's talk about some bandcamp bands we know.

I recently found this cool post-rocky shoegaze band called Tribes of the City. Soothing, yet noisy and occasionally slightly bombastic.

Check Out Catbath!

It's actually a really good album. Found this looking for grungegaze. It's not grungegaze, but it IS well put together.

Favorite Nirvana Bootlegs?

They're everywhere on YT. I admit. I'm no Nirvana fan, but bootlegs are easy to find and the fill up my list. So I've heard about 8 Nirvana Bootlegs. 1. Out of the Blue 2. Outcesticide 3. Outcesticide 4 4. Stiff Drinks 5. Outcesticide 3 6. Nevermind Sessions 7. Bleach Out Break Out 8. Outcesticide 2...

Skin Yard's lost song found!

In 2014, this FB link to claims to have found "Burning the Candle," the lost song from the original release of Skin Yard's first album. Since the 90's, reissues have discarded that track. Is this it? The video is poor quality, but it's a possibility. Here's FB. https://www.facebook.com/SkinYardOffic...

Re: GREENRIVER....fathers of grunge?

U-Men were grunge, too. But the term didn't really come out then, so I'd say Green River are indeed the fathers, especially since members of MLB, Pearl Jam, and Mudhoney were in it.

Re: JERRY CANTRELL IS DEAD!

I had a darn good feeling this was false information. RIP threads never have that context in the title. It's always "farewell..." or "RIP..." and it's never in all caps or giving off a vibe of hyperactivity.

Re: Specifics on Grunge Forum

That's cool, I know for sure James pays for the site. Most of the founders have left, but James actually pays for the site monthly so we can continue to use it. His name on here is "admin", he can be a bit difficult to get a hold of here. I don't really take part in the comps, but I'm sure someone ...
