Re: Iron Maiden

That's so monotone, though. It'd funnier if bands made up their looks from personal taste rather than monkeyseemonkeydo-like trend following. yehh I guess at the time it was "the in thing". (New wave of British heavy metal.) The look most probably complimented the sound. (Bad asses of rock music). ...

Re: Iron Maiden

Being a British metal band at the Time, long hair and leather was as unavoidable as bug zappers to bugs. check out Judas Priest they've been Hell bent for leather for years & don't seem to be retiring from it anytime soon

Re: CORE - only album that matters???

I think Scott Weiland is a great vocalist he's one of the few guys who could make you believe that many vocalist contributed to the one album you are listening to.Core was cool for it's time. The band most likely intended to go the way of fuzzy guitars, like other bands were doing and they did so. I...

Re: Hair metal

:weird: Don't think I would ever call Van Halen a "hair metal" band, no way!!!! They were just plain hard rock/arena metal but no way were they into that hair stuff.Maybe they've influenced, but Van Halen was not a hair band. Hair metal was Motley Crue and Ratt NOT Van Halen. That's like calling the...

whether they believed themselves part of a scene or not they were there at a time when people believed there to be a scene going on. they were a Seattle band with sometimes fuzzy guitars and was enough for people. thus the post grunge title. my question...or statement rather is that that Title was a...

Re: Is Candlebox's first album dirty pop metal?

None of the guys on Deep Six Sound the same all have a unique sound, They among others were labeled "The Godfathers of grunge", 4 heavy hitters of the 90s: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, AIC, Soundgarden, none of these guys really sound alike either, so despite being and little lighter sounding than the rest (...

Hi everyone, this is my first post! I'm 18, but I discovered Nudeswirl a couple months back, and I think they're awesome. I discovered them by searching Beavis and Butt-Head episodes on YouTube, eventually I found "Crazy Love" by Gruntruck, which led me to buy their stuff on iTunes. I then saw a li...

Re: Is Candlebox's first album dirty pop metal?

They were one ofthe first bands tagged as Post-Grunge, followed by Live and Collective Soul. To me This Post Grunge Tag got kinda ridiculous after a while. I mean i can understand how the label came about and why it was slapped on some bands but still i find it superficial in some cases. how the he...
