Re: An american asked me a great question at the pub today

I agree about the cheap and nasty alcohol...I just don't bother. I'd rather have 4 good beers than 5 shitty ones. Saying that Daffy, the times i've been in Norway i've had beers like Hansa...most of my Norwegian friends seem to drink Turborg or Carlsberg though. Industrial cider is shit... I love th...

Re: An american asked me a great question at the pub today

That's all very well, but clearly more than three bands. Besides, winter in Norway, tourist, wanting to meet people...pub seems a great choice there :wink2:

Re: An american asked me a great question at the pub today

I think Anthrax were way ahead of their time, they fused rap and metal hence indirectly influencing a lot of bands.

Re: An american asked me a great question at the pub today

Most influential:

Creedence Clearwater Revival (possibly the greatest band ever from the USA)
Metallica (no question here, they've influenced so many metal bands)
The Doors (my next one would have been Nirvana/Anthrax)

Favourites:

Alice in Chains
Pantera
ZZ Top

Re: Download 2013 baby!

I'd like to go, but i'd rather go to a festival in mainland Europe and do a bit of travelling afterwards. I'll be working at Bloodstock festival in August, do you think you'll go to that?

Re: Gruntruck

Gruntruck were an amazingly cool and talented band. The first time I listened to Inside and Yours I instantly thought these guys were heaps better than most of the Seattle bands at the time. They were Layne Staley's fav. Seattle band. Enough said.
