Re: Joseph Gordon-Levitt covers Nirvana

I just like the time when you couldn't use a lot of special effects to overcover that you made a terrible movie. I am, of course, watching some newer movies from time to time, but not without knowing anything about it (if it is from a director I trust or something like that), which I can do with old...

Re: Badmotorfinger is better than Nevermind

Two different interpretations on the term "good guitar player". I was maybe taking the question too literally, because music is, of course, much more than technique.

Re: Joseph Gordon-Levitt covers Nirvana

According to me whole hollywood is gay now a days. But I see what you mean, it isn't correct to judge without doing it's research, but it is easier. ;)

Re: Badmotorfinger is better than Nevermind

He wasn't technically good, and that was exactly what I meant. He was however a big talent when it came to songwriting and making music. So what I meant was that Badmotorfinger is technically better than Nevermind. Which album or sound you like better however, is a different question.

Re: Badmotorfinger is better than Nevermind

Agreed. Badmotorfinger is a lot better. Nirvana's stuff are just too simple, and Kurt Cobain is most likely the worst guitar player of the 90's. Soundgarden are a lot better musicians with a lot of unique tunings and rhythms.

Re: Joseph Gordon-Levitt covers Nirvana

No, I don't usually watch movies that are newer than around 1980 (except for a few decent classics from the 90's). So any actor that came after that time are considered as "gay kids trying to be actors".

Re: Joseph Gordon-Levitt covers Nirvana

Didn't know that this guy even played music. Thought he just was another of those gay kids trying to be an actor. Anyway, he actually had a nice voice, and must have a good taste in music. Am not a big fan of this song though.

Re: Cornell's voice has changed due to his quitting smoking?

I really like his voice from the old days, but can't find any videos from newer days with a quality where I actually can hear the music.

Re: Are there any grunge bands you just don't like?

As I said in my introduction topic I can't stand Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots. As for Pearl Jam it's all because of Eddie Vedder I think. I just can't handle his o-faces and orgasms while he sings. It is also completely impossible to understand anything that he sings. It justs sounds like he mu...

Re: Favorite Nirvana Album

Glad to see so many people liking Bleach the most. Picked that myself, and are sick of all the nevermind-hype. Nevermind is a good record with some great songs (Territorial Pissings, Lounge Act, Breed), but too much annoying stuff as Polly, Come as you are, lithium and smells like teen spirit. Bleac...

Re: The darkest AIC song...

I have to pick Love, Hate, Love on this one. AiC is all about dark lyrics, and this one is an absolute masterpiece and among my all time favorite songs. The lyrics describes what is going on inside the head of a man after a tough break-up, and the result is just sick. Layne is bringing these words i...

Re: Do original AIC Fans Like William DuVall?

I like the man, and he is a very good vocalist. I haven't listened to Black Gives Way To Blue, but I don't like that they still are playing the old songs. I think AiC should have ended after Layne's death, because Layne was too important. William DuVall does not have the same emotions in his singing...

Re: Favorite Pixies Band Member?

This one is really hard. I've always liked Charles of course, his screaming voice and surrealistic songwriting blows me away every time. His requirements to have the power of the band is sad though, and I don't like the way he treated Kim. Because Kim had just as much talent as Charles, and it's a s...
