Awesome! How about they coincide it with a reunion album? :)

Re: MAD SEASON

When I got the deluxe version of Above, I gave my dad my copy of the old CD. Yesterday he lets me know that he finally listened to it, and I'm expecting a, "It wasn't really my thing" reaction, but he goes, "Do they have any other albums?" He loved it, especially "Wake Up," which he keeps singing, a...

Re: Do original AIC Fans Like William DuVall?

William is a great singer--just listen to some of his stuff with Comes with the Fall--the issue is, like S0undGardener said, he's not the lead singer here. Seeing them in concert, he won the crowd over, rightly so. But on the albums? I don't know what exactly he's there for. Harmonies and rhythm gui...

Great band! Always been on the lookout for some CDs when I go record-hunting but can only find MP3s online.

Re: Nero's Rome

FINALLY got a copy of the self-titled album on CD! If you like Togetherly, you'll love this one. Same style but arguably harder and more consistent. I'll try to do a full review later.

Re: Alice in Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here

I think William should form a new band after AiC dies out. Definitely check out his pre-AIC band, Comes with the Fall. Great stuff. I'd actually like to see William have more of a presence in AIC than he does now; Jerry's great but I feel like everything after Boggy Depot has been very paint-by-num...

Re: Saddest/Most Depressing Nirvana song?

Surprised nobody's mentioned "Dumb" yet. That came to mind as soon as saw the thread title. It's from the perspective of a guy who not only has to put on a mask to the world; he can't even be honest with himself. And those melancholy strings certainly emphasize the bleakness of the entire song.

Re: Alice in Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here

They're recent material has been far less formulaic. Ok, while I can accept (but not at all understand) someone preferring the new AIC lineup, this just doesn't add up for me. With the exception of the title track and maybe "Last of My Kind," everything on BGWTB + "The Hollow" is totally paint-by-n...

Re: Nymphs

Their album was the first time I ever bought a CD simply based on the art...it was 50 cents and the back cover made me think they'd be similar to Mother Love Bone or something, so I went for it. It's not an all-time favorite or anything, but it was definitely worth it, and I play it more often than ...

Re: Updates on the Cobain Case *Don't come in "laid to rest"

I don't really hate Courtney (I met Melissa Auf der Maur at an event last year and she definitely helped me see Courtney in a more sympathetic light), but it's hard to think of many things more repulsive than planning your spouse's murder and then letting people think it was a suicide for 20 years. ...

Re: Led Zeppelin

I've always appreciated Zep, but was never really super-into them--listened to my dad's old LPs when I first discovered the Beatles and wanted to dive into classic rock, but while I thought the songs were pretty good, Zep just didn't 'click' with me. But with all the hype surrounding the 02 concert ...

Re: Who think kurt killed himself?

If anything, the fact that kids today don't know about them and I couldn't find more than maybe 5 people in my school who had ever heard of them and no one had ever heard of grunge probably proves that his death made them less famous. I dunno, I work at a high school and I encounter plenty of Nirva...
