Re: Skin Yard????

Tuesday 5/15 that is all going to change: the entire catalog (minus one record) has been remastered with one completely remixed by Jack himself... Sorry for late response (I haven't been following this forum a lot), but does someone here know if Fist sized chunks is amongst the albums that have bee...

Re: Pretty on the Inside: 2011 reissue

You guys have to put into consideration. Courtney absolutely hates POTI with a passion! She's said in recent interviews that it's one of the worst albums she's ever done! So I doubt she had any say-so in this! And just passed it along for the record company to deal with! But I agree! They're should...

Re: Skin Yard????

Wow! I'm reading about Fist Remixed right now and I can't tell you how excited I am. That would probably be my favorite Skin Yard record but I always felt the mix kind of neutered it (no offense to my favorite recording engineer.) Seriously can't wait to hear that, and enjoy the album as it was mea...

Re: The first album

Anytime man! My tone when I play bass is pretty much modeled after yours--I think that's the perfect bass sound for heavy punk/metal/psychedelic rock. Also, thanks to whoever decided to include "Wither" on Fist Remixed... That's a favorite of mine and that extra guitar lead really changes the sound ...

Re: The first album

Nope...you were screwed by some odd form of audion gremlin I'm considerably more well-versed in audio editing these days, and I've since fixed the problem...but thanks! By the way, you are one of my favorite bass players. Thank you for "Epitaph for Yesterday" in particular. I wish I wrote that song!

Re: Two Fucking Words

I haven't posted on here in a while but I guess I'm back now. I'm stoked to hear those remasters and I'd love to hear any cool Skin Yard/Seattle scene stories you have the time to relate. There is so little on the Internet about Skin Yard, which is frustrating for a music dork such as myself who lik...

Re: Cornell's voice has changed due to his quitting smoking?

His voice actually sounds a little Lanegan-y now, probably due to the drinking and smoking. But his voice sounds ALMOST the same as it did twenty years ago, when he sings Beyond the Wheel or Jesus Christ Pose. It doesn't have the same impressive vibrato but he has the same range and most of the powe...

Re: Skin Yard????

Yeah, I had no idea until I read the Everybody Loves Our Town book. He's got a sad story, he had it maybe as bad as Layne for the last decade of his life. Such a great talent wasted.

Wow. Must have been an incredible show, despite/because of all the mishaps. Both bands are legendary, must have been even better then than they are now...
