Re: Guns N' Roses

I'm just amazed that Slash and Axel made peace with one another. Good for them, always will love Civil War.

As for literature relating to Grunge: yes, plenty of time thank you!
Only curious, my personal favorite is Everyone Knows Our Town by Mark Yarm.

Re: Top 30 Albums

Decided to update my list, as with everyone opinion changes and not my 100% accurate ranking but hey it's pretty close! Plus, I'm going to relax on my "one album per artist" though it's a fun challenge! 1. AM by Arctic Monkeys 2. Down on the Upside by Soundgarden 3. Judas by Fozzy 4. Contraband by V...

Re: Bands You Can't Stand

I personally believe that the term "grunge" refers to the music scene in Seattle and the difference of style that it brings in. Also, the fact that the top bands hated the term grunge and the debate going on is hilarious in its own right. :P Nickelback’s first album was Grunge, same for the Foo Figh...

Re: Bands You Can't Stand

Grunge is just grunge, its not what one considers to be grunge or not. If that's the case, then Pearl Jam certainly isn't it. Why? The man dislikes Pearl Jam. They're not the easiest band to get into. BUT personally speaking saying you disliking a band = them not being grunge is fucking ignorant an...

On the aniversary of Chris Cornell’s death, I’ve spent the whole day listening to Soundgarden. Currently enjoying Black Rain. Can’t believe he’s really gone
I think none of us here can, mate
I don't like thinking about it. :(

In a way I'm sorta awestruck that you guy(s) keep coming back here to promote your music. Still won't listen to it though :P
Why do we tolerate this again?

Re: Most powerful Soundgarden songs?

Nitesh was one of the kindest people here. As Evee said, never missed a birthday and was always supportive to everyone. It's a shame some of us didn't have the chance to meet him in person.

Re: New song: 'The One You Know'

I do feel like Will gets shafted and people try comparing him to Layne is ludicrous. Layne was a once in a lifetime voice and his work with Jerry cannot be compared. Those harmonies is what made their old records great. I've enjoyed their newer stuff, yet I have a track record for liking music that'...

I'm not mentioning the lyrics though, I'm more mentioning the downtuned guitars and ball-crushing bass and sludgy-doom pace.
yup this
Agree. It's so sludgy and dark and DAMN GOOD!

I’d set this thread up more to discuss Nugent’s music than his politics.
Of course, but when you've just become so volatile it's hard to talk about the music.
