Setting my own rule that I’m allowed only one entry per band/artist (some opinion change since my last post here)
That's the same rule I always set myself. For me, it makes it a fun challenge to pick the best of the best, in my opinion, of the bands/artists I like.

Re: How does anybody today still get into these guys?

It took a long time but I finally listened to Apple today and it was a blast. I wished I had the insight to listen to them sooner.

Legit, this is my favorite thus far. The harmonizing takes me back to Layne/Jerry.

Re: Tiger Crew - Kevin is in Jail

You will not believe what happened after they tried to shave a TIGER!! Crying mothers and children it was a MASSACRE...you have to see for yourself!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZAHL1N-N2g For fuck's sake, don't go to clickbaiting your music. That's low-brow attention seeking and you shouldn't ...

Re: The Beatles

I watched that video of Paul McCartney on Carpool Karoke and it made me relisten to the Beatles.

Then it lead me to realizing that George Harrison is my favorite Beatle and watched Living in the Material World and was captivated by it.

Oh hey it's a local reference! Mount Rainier is the closest mountain to us.
According to some articles I found, this is the first album they recorded in Seattle in many, many years. And one of the songs is an homage to the old grunge scene so that's something to look forward to.

Re: Def Leppard

I always thought that glam-metal was considered to be anti-grunge. Grunge is generally considered to be a retort to glam/hair-metal. Because...it is? Sorry, the term anti-grunge is just stupid to me. Might as well say that punk is anti-pop or rock is anti-country or metal is anti-folk for fuck's sa...

Re: Def Leppard

Surely anyone who considers Def Leppard to be the epitome of anti-Grunge has obviously never listened to any of their earlier stuff. Wtf is ant-grunge? Isn't that basically all of classic rock before the Seattle scene took off? Also, growing up with Def Leppard as my mom loves this band, they prett...

I'm just amazed that Slash and Axel made peace with one another. Good for them, always will love Civil War.

As for literature relating to Grunge: yes, plenty of time thank you!
Only curious, my personal favorite is Everyone Knows Our Town by Mark Yarm.

Re: Top 30 Albums

Decided to update my list, as with everyone opinion changes and not my 100% accurate ranking but hey it's pretty close! Plus, I'm going to relax on my "one album per artist" though it's a fun challenge! 1. AM by Arctic Monkeys 2. Down on the Upside by Soundgarden 3. Judas by Fozzy 4. Contraband by V...
