Re: What's your stance on Tool?

My thoughts on Tool are that their music is quite introspective and mysterious, plus they kick ass.

Re: Oceans

This is a beautiful song, one of PJ's best in my opinion. It's different than pretty much any other song on Ten.

Re: Lil Wayne covers Pearl Jam, STP, and Nirvana?!?!??!!

Even though I said I wouldn't waste my time listening to this,I was brave and listened to some of it. I CAN'T for the life of me remember the artist and track of the 90's song that is sampled in Lil Girl Got a Gun (#20). I wish I knew...could somebody please tell me the 90's song that is being sampl...

Re: Lil Wayne covers Pearl Jam, STP, and Nirvana?!?!??!!

He may not be the most inordinate artist and yes, it's going to horrible but I can't see peoples' problems with it. It's an artist's right to creative expression. Is it just my hazy memory or was grunge against censorship? Grunge was against censorship, granted, but I don't really like that this is...

Re: Lil Wayne covers Pearl Jam, STP, and Nirvana?!?!??!!

When I first heard about this on the Smashing Pumpkins forum, all I could think was "NO,NO NO NO NO AND NO!!" Here's the tracklisting: TRACK LISTING 1. Betterman (Pearl Jam Remix) 2. Wayne’s World (feat. Nirvana, Ciara, Justin Timberlake) 3. Fireman (Give It Away Remix) 4. Plush Weatherman (Stone ...

Re: does smashing pumpkins qualify as grunge?

SP is my favorite band of mine as well. Nowadays, the people I know really don't appreciate SP, and I'm usually labeled as the weird one in school for liking them (and for not wearing what everyone else wears, like Hollister). The people in music nowadays that are shaking the scene aren't fond of SP...

Re: does smashing pumpkins qualify as grunge?

I believe they are a bit underrated. Smashing Pumpkins is probably my favorite band now, but that doesn't matter. How the hell are they underrated? SP is my favorite band of mine as well. Nowadays, the people I know really don't appreciate SP, and I'm usually labeled as the weird one in school for ...

Re: does smashing pumpkins qualify as grunge?

The Smashing Pumpkins never were "grunge." SP has such a distinctive sound, it can only be simplified as alternative rock and nothing more. It was a unique blend of psychadelic rock, new wave, classic rock and metal that no one has yet lived up to. And the fact that they had the balls to blend in e...
